Project. Computer Typesetting

Purpose. Assuming Project One was done with pencil comps and not directly on the computer, now is the time to check the accuracy of your copyfitting and comping by actually setting the type.

Assignment. Beginning with the Garamond and using the same copy and specifications, set the type on the computer. Now compare the results with your pencil comps. They need not be exact, but they should be close. Now continue with the remaining four typefaces. When dealing with type set ragged, try to create a pleasing edge without resorting to hyphenation. Once again, compare the results with your pencil comps.
